I’ll be damned.

It’s astonishing what havoc a simple departure from Eluveitie can wreak. Yep, this is about Anna Murphy and her merry men who defected from the aforementioned band to found Cellar Darling in 2016. But this particular outfit never quite made it onto our radar for some reason.

Yet now, the band’s latest clip Dance finally scored a hit, and big time. Their newest concoction is quite a piece of work. And – I daresay – with a style that is pretty far removed from the pagan lore they pushed before.

Betonkrebs by Zeit, a furious lament!

RockmusicRaider - Zeit - Betonkrebs - EP Cover

Zeit are very angry, furious actually. That’s why they decided to slam an EP onto the music market that is – for now – seriously hampered by the current pandemic. And indeed, they hail from Germany where the restrictions are especially harsh these days.

But – wait a minute – they don’t lament the current virus, other people are already doing this ad nauseam. Instead, they got us a dirge for the useless Year of the Dark Lord 2020. About all those many other dumb issues that happened then and kinda disappeared under the radar of things.

RockmusicRaider Newsflash - Blunderbuss - Resurrection - Album Cover

Who said that Nu-Metal was dead outside Limp fucking Bizkit and Korn? Well, the genre is kind of a holdall. Boy, even Evanescence was accused to be nu, just because there was some pseudo-rap in their first piece. You know, the one with Lee and Moody still in charge. So, I guess that many metallists got fed up and used other genres to describe things better. Like Gothic Metal for the aforementioned band.

Yet, I reckon that these people never heard of Blunderbuss and their 2016 piece Resurrection. Even if this outfit sports a style that is bemoaned by many to be all bad, playing … [...] Click to raid more!
