You know, sometimes you have to grab them by the swagger. The bands that show some spice, cocksure of their epic prowess in all things metal.

But then again, we kinda appreciate that trait over here at RMR, too. 

So, here’s to Serene Dark who do advertise their trade in a way that made us unsure (at first) if their approach was only just confidence. Something that needs to be followed up by real action, like them Northern warriors of olden times that existed by their codex. And only by their codex.

If you think that NordWitch is blackened enough for your taste, then you never heard about Concilivm and their brand of Blackened Death Metal. They joined this unholy world in 2017 and are now re-issuing their 2018 blurb The Veiled Enigma on CD. 

This is one typical underground band from Chile that sets its sights on the old-style groove of long-gone times.

What better style than Industrial Metal to invoke all of them demons that seem to haunt the modern global workings these days. And the German NDH movement may be the perfect backdrop for that kind of theme.

Eli Van Pike indeed have ample material for their tune in these troubled times, with the American government running roughshod over everything and anything. And the German class politique – indeed the whole of Europe – unable or unwilling to stand up to the bully. So, in a sense, the title In Flames (not the band, the track) is more than fitting.

Newsflash: Hartsbane release As Summer Dies!

I always thought the Germans beat everyone to the punch with their proverbial efficiency. But here we have Hartsbane, who stated that they will launch their new EP As Summer Dies on 20 April 2019 at 20.00 h, or so it said on their website.

Well, I’ll be damned. There you go for 20/20 foresight. This puts even the Swiss to shame, where trains need to leave on the millisecond. Lest a national emergency be declared swiftly and without remorse.
