If there’s one band on the RMR beat that got extensive coverage, it is – for sure – the Swiss band Eluveitie. An outfit that appeared out of nowhere in 20021) and broke into real fame by the time the 2008 piece Slania hit our turntables. An enigmatic and sometimes downright excellent band that that didn’t always get good rates from this ‘zine during its 20-year career. It has been a whopping eight months or so since the latest Intermittent Digest released on this blog. In the meantime, we were busy as bees and looked at scores of new records. So, it is high time again to put the proverbial tent around this circus and start to make some sense out of what we found.

I said it, didn’t I. After Evocation II released in 2017, I could already feel that this bright stage light for Fabienne Erni was not going to last for too long. So, here we find ourselves with Ategnatos, Eluveitie‘s newest in early 2019.
And it comes with a whopping 16 tracks crammed into one hour of air coverage.
