At first, this sounded like the background music at my local sushi restaurant. It really did, and it made me hungry just listening to that stuff. In other words, Final Coil‘s Somnambulant II took us a moment or two to get into. But we are glad, we took the time.

This band has been lurking in the background of our review pipe for a number of years. Their eclectic and somewhat funky style never quite made it to the forefront, though. Unfortunately, time constraints, seasonal woes, and staff issues1) often prevent us from covering everything. And for such … [...] Click to raid more!

You know, the infamous tale of this multi-colored dude who marched all of them rats out of town in 1284 and sent them to drown. And when the misers of … [...] Click to raid more!

You know, the RMR crew is always looking for the bands looming outside of the mainstream. Those that lurk in the murky depths of gloom by the side of the road. The bands looking for the unusual. Those who don’t give a damn where today’s undercurrents flow.

INK has been a consistent blip on our review radar in that department, for sure. Their Avantgarde-infused style prompted already a few listens of their 2016 album Loom. And for sure the RockmusicRaider deck crew wasted a few grams of black ink on that specific delight. But here and now we will [...] Click to raid more!
