INK has been a consistent blip on our review radar in that department, for sure. Their Avantgarde-infused style prompted already a few listens of their 2016 album Loom. This is a weird, déjà-vu kind of a record. A tribute piece of sorts to a genre, if you will. Places we already visited long ago, and then left again. Sweaty music halls filled with Heavy Metal beats, mixed with thrash, power, and stuff. But that was – wait – in the ’80s, like.

Whoa, we got moving pictures from Within Temptation after their last full-length Hydra. At long last. Based on their upcoming album Resist from Within Temptation the band again treads known paths of pseudo-sci-fi themes in a futuristic setting. 

True to their style, The Reckoning is yet another song with a guest contributor, this time with Jacoby Shaddix (Papa Roach). This has a long tradition in the Within Temptation universe. Yet it needs to be said none of those hybrid productions ever produced stellar results and this one is no different.
