Should I tell you a dirty, truly geeky secret? I kinda got a kick out of the Mad Max themed video Unleash The Archers released with their 2015 screamo Time Stands Still. Even if I just could not really get warm with this particular record in general. The yodeling and aimless speed crimes were just too bad.

Here’s to an album that was described to me as the epitome of metal wizardry. The cream of the cream of all things you can expect from anything metal. The steel-clad mountain any metalhead must vanquish before they can claim to be adepts of trve metal. Well, there you go. That’s a standard to die for.

Rarely and usually completely out of the blue, you get these refreshing blurbs of rock and metal that will make you keep your faith in modern music. True, there were no real breakthroughs anymore lately in terms of new styles. But then bands with promise continue to come along. Those who know how to string elements together just right and forge a blazing hot slab of rock. Slap Betty or Last Bullet were just two of them out of many that made it onto the RMR blog page for that very reason.

RMR already covered a number of bands from Cyprus. Blynd or again Arrayan Path come to mind – to name just two. But never did we get a band like Infected Syren on the review list that seems to originate from the London East End much more than coming from an island in the Med.

And they are sinners. You don’t think they are? They are, for sure. Vile, rotten language. Spitting about the stage. Loud, brutal, and fast guitar play with reckless abandon.
