Frightening shades that are – and I quote – “…swift of foot and sharp of tooth.” From a time when their lonely island in the North Sea was still covered in primeval forests and filled with strange beasts.

You gotta be in the mood for that one. There are swampy creatures out there that – for once – don’t originate from Capitol Hill. Instead, they hail from some bog in good ol’ England. Meet Slimelord and their newest demo turned EP called Moss Contamination.

The RMR crew here was on the lookout for some real Death Metal, away from the weak gurgles some bands sport and sell it as the trve deathly fare. Do you want to know what really got me to listen to Maziac‘s newest EP Permutations? It was these three weirdos sitting on the couch mumbling to the lyrics of a clip of that same name. And that almost knocked me off my comfy reviewer’s chair. Albeit that all of that unfair mirth stopped dead once the band really took off and showed some real grit and – indeed – astonishing acerbic power.
