Svalbard - One Day All This Will End - Album Cover

What happens if you name a band after an archipelago splashed into the Arctic Ocean?

Well, the Bristol-based band Svalbard happens, releasing a surprisingly crunchy debut full-length and amazingly crusty Hardcore album called One Day All This Will End.

Recorded and mixed by Lewis Johns at The Ranch, Southampton. Mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege. LP Cover Art has been delivered by Serena Cherry, who also fronts the band as their lead vocalist.

Do you think that you found your progressive nirvana with Guilt Machine, Leprous, Ayreon, or Opeth

Well, nope.

Zierler‘s ESC builds back better. Right? Or worse, depending on how you look at it. Or more complex? Too complex? All of the above? Or nothing at all of value.

The band formed way back in 1986, in cold dark Sweden. By a bunch of youngsters wanting to do something different from the mainstream, ending up on the smelly bottom of extreme underground metal. The same vile mainstream that looked at anything blackened with disdain, to say the least. And who could … [...] Click to raid more!

Rusty Pacemaker – ruins (2015) – Review

It must be the steep valleys over there spawning this kind of tune. And it is his authentic craftiness that really got me interested to look at ruins, the sophomore full-length album released earlier in 2015.

Rusty Pacemaker is an (almost) one-man band, scarcely seconded by Lady K on some tracks and, more prominently, by Franz Löchinger on drums. But more to that later.

Rusty by the [...] Click to raid more!
