The conflicted and neverending tale of Batushka is on our mutual minds yet again. Exactly. None other than these guys. This here crew covered the machinations around this act until around the end of 2019. That was the time when both accusers headed to court in earnest. And boy, do the legal mills run slowly back in Poland. It has taken both iterations of Batushka and their angry, fearless leaders eons to find some closure. We covered Mach Dich Frei of Finsterforst already in 2015 for the first time in local lingo. With the new record looming and RMR with more than 510 posts under our belt, we decided to have another go at all that goodness. At these epic sounds reaching us from the – supposedly – darkest of all forests.

In the meantime, the RMR deck crew even insisted to cover Rastlos, which we quite enjoyed. So, something must be good with these folks, right?

Here I am going to hunt – for once – well outside of my usual haunts and dark forests of yonder badlands. Lost at sea, like Jack Sparrow with his compass pointing to nowhere. And this lands us back in spice trade nirvana, with creaking planks, and salted beef for supper.
