Anna Murphy and her entourage (or faction, as evil tongues have it) left the band in 2016 seemingly in protest. And that meant long-time drummer Merlin Sutter and guitarist Ivo Henzi left with her to found Cellar Darling. Or – as the lore goes – Merlin got left first and the others chose to follow suit.

RockmusicRaider Review - Die Irrlichter - Zaubergarten - Album CoverDie Irrlichter sind schon seit einiger Zeit auf meinem mittelalterlichen Radar. Seitdem haben sie mich wirklich fasziniert und zwar mit ihrem doch recht melodiösen Musikstil. 

Aber das neueste und 7. Studioalbum Zaubergarten hat mich sofort in seinen Bann geschlagen und die Schreibefinger angeworfen.

Während einige (nicht alle..) in dieser doch noch überschaubaren Gruppierung von Musikern und Bands sich entweder auf schauderhafte Wald- und Wiesenklänge einlassen oder sich in schlüpfrige Gefilde begeben, haben mich die Mädels aus dieser Band um Brigitta Jaroschek immer sehr beeindruckt.
