This sounds like a homecoming, folks. Good, soothing old Heavy Metal with no holds barred. The metal equivalent of motherhood, apple pie, and the flag. 

Listening to this sound gives you this warm, cozy feeling of past good times, doesn’t it? Well, maybe not, if you are not old enough to remember.

This latest offering of Ghost Avenue harkens back to the times when the ’80s were deliriously high on NWoBHM and all its bands. Many of them are still around, alive and kickin’ to this day. Well, then again not quite that many anymore, as we just saw a few important departures in 2016.

I think the likes of Paradise Lost or My Dying Bride just got themselves some serious company. But with a grungy flavor that constantly reminds me of the 2015 piece Crypt Sermon wrote.

Now, where is this terrible name-calling coming from already at the beginning of a review?

Well, the sophomore effort Hunted of the American band Khemmis does that to you. This is not to say that they are skimming off other bands too hard, just to be clear. They place themselves slam into this Doom Metal universe that other sad warriors already occupy for some time.

Okay, let’s be clear: This is about the Greek band called Blind Justice. Not the hardcore punk nitwits from New Jersey, or the folks from the UK, Italy, or wherever they all come from.

And whoever said that time machines don’t exist? 

If you like your Heavy Metal featuring a ’70s/’80s style with some juice to go, then Blind Justice (the Greek outfit) and their debut In The Name of Justice is a band to lend your ear to.

Did you know that music CDs finally outsold vinyl in 1988? The CD hype was a big revolution back then. That was also the year with Ronald Reagan (the actor) in power in the US. Terrorists blew up jumbo-jets over Scotland and American missiles brought down a passenger plane. 

1988 also was the year of Iron Maiden‘s seventh (!) full-length studio album Seventh Son of a Seventh Son.
