For some reason, the long-standing extreme metallists of Septicflesh never made it onto the RMR ‘zine. To find the reason for that decidedly unhappy development is difficult to discern. Not underground enough with the smell of the mainstream all over them, communication issues, problems with the label1, the reasons can be legion. And we have no real answer.

Here’s to a positive thought. A Quantum Evolution Event, so not all hope is lost, right? Usually, we get the dystopian version about extinctions and such. So, one brownie point goes to the Australians from Ilium straight. But, will it really be that positive? And will quantum evolution really be good for us or will we end up as sorry crossovers of – something as in THE THING, somewhere in another dimension?1 Because the album cover doesn’t bode well. RMR's Top 3 Videos & EPs 2021

It’s time for the second installment of the best videos and EPs awards on the RMR ‘zine. Our crew’s first attempt last year was a pretty snazzy success, so we’ll continue with that second major annual Top 3 list with a new installment. Now, whilst 2020 was a pretty fertile ground for shorter offerings, 2021 turned out to be a bit more frugal.

At first, this sounded like the background music at my local sushi restaurant. It really did, and it made me hungry just listening to that stuff. In other words, Final Coil‘s Somnambulant II took us a moment or two to get into. But we are glad, we took the time.
