Hard Reset‘s 2015 and first full-length album Machinery & Humanity released on CD in Europe in February of 2015.

The band hits you with some sort of a subdued, but very refined style of their own brand of rock. Often in the vein of their punk brethren with a distinct grungy flavor at times. Like some seriously toned-down mix of Nightmen and Nirvana combined.

The inclusion of some prog elements is sometimes surprising, but at a much less flashy level than their partners in crime of this very particular universe.

You know, I like swagger in a band. And if they can produce good metal AND they have a good cover story to boot, like the Hungarian Groove Metal outfit Omega Diatribe, then it is almost sold. Of course, the quality of their tune will take precedence – after all the music counts, not the posture. 

Their story?

A contract has been passed between humans and some psycho aliens about the limited use of Earth’s resources. This is called Omega Diatribe. Once time’s up only open-minded people can survive this transition.

Mixing Progressive Metal with Death Metal, blacken it a bit, add ambient and post-metal atmospherics, chew well, and then spit out. This is Rhine, originating from the cold North of Seattle.

They already gave us a taste of their savoir-faire with their decidedly heavy-to-digest 2011 concoction Duality. And are now ready with their sophomore album An Outsider, seared over a hot fire, out in February 2016.

Whoever said newcomers first need some action and experience before they deliver? These guys step right in with an alluring style of Black and Death Metal combined.

We talk about NordWitch, the Blackened Death Metal band from the cold East – Ukraine and Hungary to be precise. The band formed in February 2015 and started to produce some exceedingly powerful material. Their concept bases itself on satanism, occultism, and mythology of ancient Scandinavia.
