Do you feel anger today? And I don’t mean some weak frustration. I mean white-hot, seething anger?

Well, I do.

Then what better thing is there than to find a lava-drenched chunk of Melodic Black Metal to soothe it? Fight fire with fire in a sense. Indeed, the kind of anger management every metalhead can buy into wholeheartedly, right? And I found just the right medication in the 2016 re-release of Bloodfields, the 2nd EP of the Swedish Black Metal outfit Wormlight.

And why on earth are we featuring a re-release from last year?

First, this is great crunchy Black Metal … [...] Click to raid more!

RockmusicRaider Review - Moonsorrow - Jumalten Aika - Album Cover

The things we missed in 2016. And it is 67 minutes of raw and rough metal issued by one of the most prodigious metal bands out there. The Finnish outfit Moonsorrow released their 7th full-length album Jumalten Aika (The Age of Gods) last year. This after five years of wait, when many thought that nothing would be forthcoming anymore. And boy is this a peppered dish.

And it is funny. I am hearing their sound described as Folk Metal a lot. Yet, I hear the mighty ogres marching towards the King’s castle, making their sounds of war. Nothing of the [...] Click to raid more!
