RockmusicRaider Newsflash - Eschatos - Maere - Album Cover

A few weeks ago RockmusicRaider covered Parodos, a New Age Black Metal outfit from Italy. Their unusual offering to the Dark Lord was already way off the beaten path as Black Metal goes. This is pretty good, they said. And it might not get much better, they said. Yet, they were wrong, so wrong.

Because for today’s dose of daily metal, I will propose a juicy mix between the earlier concoctions of Myrkur and a mad-scientist version of the German Todtgelichter.

The Latvian outfit Eschatos and their newest EP Maere will fit that description. And indeed they boast [...] Click to raid more!

Newsflash: In Communion with Vvon Dogma I!

RockmusicRaider Newslfash - Vvonn Dogma I - Communion - Album Cover

The RockmusicRaider offices just love those jewels all of a sudden ejected from the nameless masses of music creations. Like some sort of magic volcano gone to the other side. The Swiss band The Killing Volts brandishes this nonchalant, don’t-give-a-shit style that is so very important to their trade. Their decidedly short, but nevertheless juicily powerful EP Why Should I Say Yes will relentlessly drive this point home for every second of its very limited span [...] Click to raid more!

RockmusicRaider Newsflash - Black Absinthe - Early Signs of Denial - Album Cover

Some time back the Canadian band Black Absinthe got on RockmusicRaider’s mighty rock radar with their 2016 EP Early Signs of Denial. It was this raw mix of red-hot rock that really stuck, and earned them a spot on the RMR blog.

This time they are back with a pretty cool video featuring their flagship track The Wild.

To record the session, they went a-pirating outside of Toronto. A bit like the late Alestorm crew. And shot a jam video session on a pirate boat for kids (forsooth..) with a bunch of fans and friends.

In the end, [...] Click to raid more!
